(Para 1) There are many ways to help teenagers get back on their feet after abusing drugs and alcohol. Everyone knows that kids nowadays have access to alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs. Lately, kids have been getting an easier hold on drugs. There are many ways to get to drugs, that is undeniable and irreversible. But, after researching that every 1 in a 11 kids get addicted to marijuana after just smoking it once, I realized this could be a problem for future generations.
(Para 2) For a while, marijuana use declined from the 1990's to 2007, but lately it has been inclining once again. Most high schoolers have been trying marijuana. 6.5% of seniors admit to using marijuana daily. But, 23% admit to smoking cannabis. Overall, 37% of kids use cannabis. So, how is it possible to convince kids who smoke marijuana daily that what they are doing could potentially bring them down in many ways? One way that seems to work the most is a support group and/or therapy. When they are there, they can tell their reasons for wanting or needing marijuana to solve their problems, how it has effected them, and so much more. Unfortunately, there is not any special medicine any one person could take to help them not be as addicted to marijuana or help them just quit all together. The drug doesn't make everyone addicted, but people with depression or anything else, might find it harder to stop because of the high it gives them. But, there is also other things a person can try to help them quit smoking. If the person isn't so opened about talking about all of this, then they can go to their family.
(Para 3) Family will love you no matter what. If they know that, and if the family understands to keep an open mind, then maybe that could help. A mom can always keep their child on their feet no matter what. If someone would like to go to their family and they have that kind of relationship, the child should tell their mom or dad the reasons they started in the first place. There are many reasons kids start smoking marijuana. Stress, depression, boredness, are all things that can trigger addiction. People don't get addicted to the drug exactly. It's the euphoria that can be addicting. It makes a person feel better and helps them forget their pain. If someone had something that could fix a horrible day it would seem logic to most teens to take it. Even if that means breaking the law, risking their health, and ruining their lives.
(Para 4) For some people, marijuana isn't addicting. They try it once, and then they realize it doesn't solve anything. But for others, it's hard to realize that at the moment and all they realize is the feeling they have at the moment. The facade of happiness. Those aren't the only two ways to quit smoking, but those are the two basic, most common, yet efficient ways to stop. If someone is absolutely serious about stopping or even thinking about stopping they should tell their parents everything, to make sure that there is no way to go back to smoking. Also, if someone is truly addicted to marijuana then there is no way they can stop completely on their own. But, after they tell their parents, they should discuss ways to get better help and learn about the ways that person can turn their life around and get back on their feet. It's never to late to get help.
